Hi Charlie,
Sorry it has taken me a while to contact you. Chip has now been with us for just over
2 months. He is doing brilliantly. He just loves his walks through the forest and down
on the beach every day. He loves chasing rabbits through the forest and he seems to think
he is a horse the speed at which he gallops along. Sometimes he is a bit naughty about
coming back straight away when he gets on to the scent of a rabbit but he always comes back
eventually. (In his own good time)
He lets us know when if is time for his morning walk, if we are not up and about
on time he starts to squeak and grunt until we get into gear and let him out.
He is sleeping in his kennel at night but he is indoors during the evening, so
he will probably sleep inside once winter comes. He loves to go out into his kennel
because he knows he gets a biscuit.
He has put on some more weight and he is looking really good and fit.
He is much more confident now, when we brought him home he would not even step on
to the decking around the house and I had to drag him inside on the first night.
He now knows exactly when he is allowed inside and when not, he loves to play with the
grandchildren and he is very friendly with all the neighbours. He likes to sit by the
front gate and watch every one go past and he does not often bark at people and dogs
passing unless they come to the gate. He is still a wee bit wary of visitors and will bark
and back off until he gets to know them.
I have some lovely photos but I can't get them to attach to this email so will try again later.
A very Happy Christmas to you all at Dogwatch.
With our Best Wishes and Many Thanks
Jenny & John
